Joy Patricia McKinnie Webb “Patsy”, age 82, of Somerville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at her home on October 16, 2025.
Born March 24, 1943, in Memphis, Tennessee, Joy was the daughter of the late James David McKinnie and Annie Pate Gill McKinnie. She was a graduate of Collierville High School and attended Memphis State University.
Patsy worked for many years at Billings Ford in Collierville and later at the Army Depot. She was a longtime resident of the Eads–Fisherville community before moving to Somerville and was a devoted member of Fisherville First Baptist Church.
Patsy lived a life of faith, friendship, and creativity. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and a certified Master Gardener with a lifelong passion for flowers and nature. She loved cooking, antiques, decorating, traveling, and spending time on the golf course. Her home and her heart were always open to those she loved.
She is survived by her devoted nieces and nephews: Jim Perkins (Susan), Steve Perkins (Debbie), Terry Beshires (Albert), Suzanne McCurdy (Bob), David Thomas, Nat Thomas (Kim), and Linda Warren ; along with many beloved great-nieces and great-nephews—Lynn, Patricia, Jamie, Justin, Tanner, Ginny, Holly, Jay, Tom, Liz, Brandon, and Adam. She also leaves behind her brother- in- law Tate Thomas and her cherished pets, Annie and Molly.
Patsy was preceded in death by her first husband, Gerral A. Smith, who gave his life in the Vietnam War in 1969; her second husband, Thomas E. Webb; her parents; and two sisters, Jim Ann McKinnie Perkins (Willie) and Shirley Elizabeth McKinnie Thomas.
A celebration of Patsy’s life was held Thursday, October 23, 2025, at Fisherville Baptist Church. Visitation began at 10:00 a.m., followed by the service at 11:00 a.m., and Bro. Jack Moore, retired minister of Fisherville First Baptist Church, officiated and Jeff James assisted. Interment followed in Fisherville Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Doug Swett, Stephen Goodin, Garrett Weinberg, Jamie Perkins, Justin Perkins, and Tanner Perkins.
Memorials may be made to Fisherville Baptist Church Cemetery Fund or Fayette County Animal Rescue.
Patsy’s steadfast faith and loving spirit will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who knew her.
