Joyce Histed Obituary
Joyce was an active carrier of the "Stubborn Sweet" gene. This proved itself helpful in tackling the abundance of challenges life threw at her. A goof-ball at heart, she made it her mission to get a smile or laugh from others. She loved crafting, karaoke, and The Golden Girls. Joyce "Boo-Boo" and her husband Gary, "Yogi", enjoyed camping and traveled to Georgia and the Caribbean together in search of picnic baskets.
Joyce leaves behind daughter, Melissa and son, Kenneth; her sisters, Kathy, JoAnn, and Pammela (Andrew); nieces Kathy, Devon, and Blythe; nephews, Garry, Joe, and Connor. She was preceded in death by her husband Gary "Yogi" Histed; parents, Kenneth and Gertrude Sweet; sister, Linda Cole; and niece, Michele Kelly.
Joyce's family sends very special thanks to Dr. Kochunni Mohan, cardiologist, for his truly compassionate and excellent care over the years.
While there are no services planned at this time, we encourage you to celebrate Joyce's life by sipping on an ice-cold Pepsi, singing 80's country music at the top of your lungs, or snacking on peanut butter M&M's in excess.
