Mary Joyce Snipes McLeese, 90, widow of Malcolm McLeese, passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at her home.

Born in Franklin County, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late George Dewey Snipes, Sr. and Ethel Phillips Snipes Dail. Joyce was a retired supervisor with Singer and was a sales associate with Avon for 48 years. She was a member of Oakwood Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Beverly Murphy (Bob) and Melissa Robertson (Scott); three sons, Stephen Crain (Sandy), Mark Crain (Jena), and Troy Crain (Misty); nine grandchildren, Adam Crain, Lauren Kittrell, David Crain, April Human, Catherine Crain, Ben Crain, Jonathan Murphy, Christian Robertson, and Samantha Robertson; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; and her fur baby companion, Hope.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Brad Crain; grandson, Ryan Crain; sisters, Connie Martin and Jimmie Rice; and a brother, George Snipes, Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 4, at Sullivan-King Mortuary Chapel conducted by Rev. Troy Crain. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Saturday prior to the service. The family will be at the residence on Friday afternoon and Saturday following the service.

The family would like to express their appreciation for the devotion of her caregivers, especially Kay Holliday.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
