Juanita Loretta Baden passed away on August 1, 2025, in Oklahoma City, OK. She was born on September 15, 1929, to George and Clara Peters in Stratford, OK, where she lived and attended school. After graduation she entered the nursing program at St. Anthony's school of nursing, graduated in 1951 and attended graduate school in Oletha, Kansas for a year then moved to Hobart and worked at Hobart General Hospital for two years and then was married to Clarence Baden of Roosevelt. They had three daughters, Cathy, Vicki, and Teresa. She was a stay at home mother for ten years. Then she worked as the evening supervisor at the Hobart Hospital again. Juanita worked at Hobart General Hospital for a total of 31 years as a floor supervisor.
Juanita was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Hobart where she was an active sunday school teacher, and in missionary work. She moved to Thomas in 2009, where she became a member at Thomas Methodist Church. Bible verses Juanita had somewhat lived by were 23rd Psalms, this she prayed often in life, it was a great comfort in nursing- as my work was often a matter of life or death. As she walked the halls at St. Anthony at night, looking out the windows downtown OKC and to see the lights go out all over town as she checked her patients on the wards and held the hands of the dying.
Another verse she used daily was "Come unto me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." Also "Cast all your cares upon me, because I care for you." Always remember all the good I have done in life, was by the help of God.
