Juanita June Brigance, age 83, passed away in her daughter's home surrounded by her loved ones on April 3, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and devotion to her family and community. Born on December 29, 1941, in Springfield, Missouri, to John and Juanita Shipman, Juanita lived a life full of purpose and devotion to the things that mattered most to her.
A proud graduate of Fair Grove High School, Juanita worked tirelessly for 23 years at the Zenith Factory, where she became known for her work ethic, kindness, and dedication. After her time at Zenith, she spent many years nurturing her passion for the land, living in Conway, Missouri from 1995 to 2008, where she worked diligently milking cows and tending to her beloved garden. She had a natural green thumb, and her flowers were her joy – a reflection of her nurturing, caring spirit.
Juanita was a devoted member of the Jehovah's Witnesses faith, and her love of the Bible guided her throughout her life. She found great comfort in her spiritual beliefs and was always eager to share the teachings of the Bible with others. She also loved reading "Awake!" magazines, a publication that provided insight and encouragement in her everyday life.
In addition to her faith, Juanita had a special place in her heart for animals. Her loyal beagle, Dandy, was her constant companion and brought her much joy and comfort.
Juanita is survived by her children Gary Brigance (Diane) and Diana Brigance (Joyce), three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, her sister Sue Ellen Kessler (Russell) and her special friends Wayne Perryman and Pat Watson.
Juanita is preceded in death by both her parents, her grandson Matthew Rankin, niece Tanya Smith and nephews Troy and Toby Kessler.
Arrangements are under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home North. A private burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
