Juanita Hayes, age 69, Harrodsburg, passed away on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at Ephraim McDowell RMC in Danville after a long illness. Born January 15, 1956 in Harrodsburg, she was the daughter of the late James Lee Andrews and Mary Ann (Dean) Vaughn. She attended Harrodsburg High School, was a retired employee of General Cable in Lawrenceburg. Juanita enjoyed sewing, cooking, dancing, decorating and loved spending time with family and friends. She was a member of Centennial Baptist Church in Harrodsburg.

Survivors include a daughter Clarissa Michelle Hayes of Harrodsburg; two sisters Lee Ann (Shawn) Harris of Danville and Chestina (Tony) Richards of Versailles; five brothers Larry Andrews and James (Frances) Elery both of Harrodsburg, James Jackson and Eldon Price both of Lexington and Sylvester Young of Louisville; three grandchildren Vandale Hayes, Nevaeh Hayes and Deozjiah Hayes. Juanita was preceded in death by a son Maurice Hayes, a daughter Tashina Hayes and a brother Wayne Andrews.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm, Monday, June 16, 2025 at Centennial Baptist Church by Pastor Donald Wayne Smith, Dr. Phillip A. Yates and Bro. Randall Bartleson. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Harrodsburg.

Pallbearers are Tyrone Dean, Leon VanDyke, Bentley Jones, Winford Staffond Trigg, Lee Clemons, Terrill Lamont Trigg and Alajywon Dean.

Visitation will be Monday, June 16, 2025 from 11:00 am until the time of services at the Centennial Baptist Church, 291 West Lane in Harrodsburg.

Arrangements are entrusted to Sims Funeral Services of Harrodsburg.
