Juanita Kirkland Waliky, a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2025, at the age of 81. Her life was filled with love, kindness, and countless treasured moments shared with family and friends. She was deeply loved and will be missed dearly.

Born on November 8, 1943, in Pahokee, Florida. Juanita was larger than life. Juanita was a beloved and vibrant soul, known for her bright spirit, eclectic style, quick wit, and warm smile. Her love of photography, especially capturing cherished moments of her grandchildren, brought her immense joy. She treasured photographs of her loved ones and proudly displayed them throughout her home, a testament to the love and pride she held for her family.

Sewing, crocheting, and her faith in God were also passions that brought her joy. She delighted in attending church and spending time with friends, but her greatest happiness came from being with her family. Juanita's unwavering love, values of faith and family, and her fierce devotion to those she loved will be remembered by all who knew her.

Juanita's love extended beyond her immediate family to numerous nieces and nephews, as well as several girls she fostered over the years, whom she held dear with all her heart. Nita's heart was boundless, she embraced every child in need with open arms. As a foster mother, she provided countless children with hope, security, and love. Her legacy is a beautiful example of living with an open heart. She will be deeply missed, but the love she shared will live on forever in the lives she touched.

Juanita was like a mother and grandmother to Del and Cindy Way, Heath and Kendra Way, Josh and Noel Way, Michael Way, Jordan LaClair, Annette, and Kelly Streun, as well as Brian and Lauren Johnson, Seth and Hannah Streun, and many others whose lives she impacted.

Juanita is survived by her son, John and Delana Waliky; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Waliky; and her cherished grandchildren, Zeke Waliky, Justin & Shereena Waliky, Jake & Allison Waliky,
Delanna & Blake Perkins, Tanner & Brandie Waliky, and Dane, Brooklyn and Garner. Her legacy continues through her precious great-grandchildren, Kaden Perkins, Kendel Perkins, Stella Waliky, Banks Waliky, Charlie Waliky, Briggs Waliky, Scarlett Waliky, John Wally Waliky, Jherica Waliky, Jace Waliky, and Axel Waliky. She also leaves behind her cherished sisters, Margaret Garza of Ingram Texas, Trenda Neal of Granbury, Texas and Paula McCall of Llano, Texas and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Charles "Wally" Waliky; her mother, Evelyn Juanita Fisher; her father, Charles Anderson Kirkland; and her brothers, Charles Samuel Kirkland, Everett Anderson Kirkland, Charles Anderson Kirkland; and great granddaughter, Journey Waliky..

Juanita's life was marked by love, devotion to family, and a spirit of kindness that touched everyone she encountered. She found joy in simple moments and in the company of those she loved most.
Though our hearts are heavy, we find peace in the promise of being reunited with her in God's eternal kingdom.
