On Friday, August 22nd, heaven gained a new angel in Judy Lynn Algiere. She was the beloved wife of Jim Algiere, mother of Nicholas and Ryan Algiere and their wives, Ashleigh and Lexi, and grandmother of three beautiful grandchildren: Andrew, Marie, and Lainey Algiere. Judy Lynn was also a remarkable sister, aunt, great-aunt, niece and friend to many. She took pride in the phrase "I love you more," always ensuring her love was unwavering. For her, family always came first.
Outside of her immediate family, she found other families through work and community. She was a long-time server at Mary's Restaurant and occasionally filled in at other establishments part-time. She also worked in the Westerly Public School District as a recess aide during some summers while her sons were growing up. Additionally, she found a family among her co-workers at Electric Boat, whom she loved dearly and with whom she always traded jokes. Judy Lynn loved sports and spent countless hours volunteering at the Westerly Pee Wee Football Field, managing the concession stand and coaching cheerleading.
The Algiere Family would like to extend a warm thank you to everyone who helped support during Judy Lynn's sickness, especially Dr. Matthew Austin and Beacon Hospice teams.
Judy Lynn's families will miss her dearly and will always love her "more."
Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 29th, at 10 am, in St. Vincent de Paul Church, 7 Church Street, Bradford, RI. Burial will be private.
