Judith Anderson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hutchens-Stygar Funeral & Cremation Center & Confluence Center on Mar. 2, 2026.
Judith Anderson, 65, a woman whose heart was as wide as the ocean she loved, passed away leaving behind a legacy of warmth, love, and deep connection. Born June 9th, 1960, in Redwood City, California. Judy is survived by her son Tyler, whom she called "Bubba'. Her sisters Connie, Pam, and her brother Rip. She was preceded in death by her mom Mary, and her daughter Rachel, "Sissy".

The beach was her sanctuary. The sound of the waves, the warmth of the sun, the feel of the sand, and the smell of the saltwater brought her peace and happiness and was where she always wanted to be. Judy loved to swim and still wanted a pool in her backyard to this day. As a child she was part of the local Carrollton swim team and excelled specifically at the butterfly event. She worked as a waitress, working doubles a lot of the days to raise and support Rachel & Tyler so they could play hockey and dance. She truly loved her profession and took great pride in the interactions she would get to have with her customers. Anyone that Judy waited on will probably tell you how special she made them feel. Her love for people was genuine and effortless, and her presence had a way of making everyone feel welcome. She never met a stranger, only friends she hadn't yet spoken to.

She was proud of her Italian heritage, and embraced it fully with love, tradition, food, family, and spirited conversation. It's the Italian blood in her she would say that gave her such strength, fight, and competitiveness. She liked watching old black and white country westerns with her beloved cat Stormy laying next to her. Stormy was more than a pet, she was a source of comfort and brought pure joy to Judy over the last few years as she battled her illness. Judy cherished and adored her home, her kitty cat, her dear friends, family, and her mom, sissy, and bubba and made certain everyone truly felt her love and support.

Her beautiful memories will stay with us always, and her love will live on in our hearts forever.

Celebration for Judy's life is March 12th.
