Judith A Barone, 74, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2022. She was born in Providence, Rhode Island on July 8, 1947 to the late Robert and Joan (Clement) Gillespie. She was raised on Block Island, where her parents made their home. After moving to the mainland, she graduated from Cranston High School West in 1965.
She was the beloved wife of Stephen Barone for 29 years, who survives her. Judi was the loving mother of Joy Maxwell, Kerri Barone and Stephen Barone. Cherished grandmother of William Stone, Lizzy Cameron, Arianna Maxwell, Aidan Maxwell, Hannah Hill, Drew Hill, Sophia Montrond and Samuel Barone and great grandmother to Kassandra Cameron, all of whom survive her.
Judi also leaves her sisters Jean Cipriano (Vincent), Jacqueline Phillips (Ted) and Jayne Saccoccia (John) and her brother Robert Gillespie all of whom survive her.
Judi was a beautiful soul. She enjoyed many things in life, especially spending time with family, friends and her animals. She especially loved her trips to Block Island and the time she spent with her husband Steve. Judi was faced with many health related obstacles in her life yet she always had a smile on her face. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Her funeral will be held on Tuesday at 9 am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Rocco's Church, Johnston. Burial will take place in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Monday evening 4-8 pm. (MASKS ARE REQUIRED)
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Judi's memory to the American Kidney Foundation.
