Judy was a beautiful person inside and out and a great friend. She had a ready smile and the gift of true Southern hospitality. Everyone was always welcome! We will miss her here at Captiva Condominium. My condolences to Bill and the family.

I met Judy through the choir at Atlantic Shores Baptist Church in Virginia Beach, VA in 1988. It was the beginning of a close, enduring friendship. She stood by me and my girls through every life circumstance. She was a faithful friend who always offered support, comfort, a safe space, and most of all unconditional love. She became a "bonus grandma" to my 2 daughters, saying they were practice for when she actually became a grandmother. Though we all left Virginia Beach at some point and ended up miles and states apart, our friendship endured. I spoke with her recently and had plans to visit her in May. My heart is broken to lose this beautiful soul from my life, but my heart is also full of so many years of beautiful, happy, funny memories. She was love, light, laughter, comfort, and faith. As we spoke recently she told me that at some point she knew this battle would end, but then she would be with Jesus. Her final text to me on March 25 ended with "Love you both so much" to my youngest daughter and I. Judy, your life pointed all who knew you to Jesus because His light and love shone through you. Thank you for the gift of your life and friendship.
My deepest sympathies to her loved ones during this time of great loss.

Judy was a true ray of sunshine to everyone who knew her. She had a beautiful soul and a generous heart. The world will be a little darker without her, but heaven has gained a special angel.

Our condolences to Bill and the family. We met Bill and Judy on an Alaskan tour and cruise and had so much fun with them. We caught up with them again when they came to Australia. Judy was full of life and love and the world has lost a shining light. R.I.P lovely lady. Jo & Scotty Brisbane, Australia.

I worked with Judy at Trader Publishing Company! She taught me so much! Plus, we shared many laughs together and she was the best at giving advice! Will miss her...RIP, Judy!
