Judith Evelyn Cundiff

Judith Evelyn Nichols Cundiff, age 86, of Eastview, passed away Saturday March 8, 2025 at her home in Eastview. After an extended illness.Evelyn was born June 8, 1938 the four child of Joseph Franklin Nichols and Viola Goodman Nichols. In December 1953 she married Roy Elbert Cundiff and they began a lifetime together that spanned 71 years. She became a counselor, caretaker, companion and confidant to Roy and the loving mother of 3 children. Moving from Hardin County to Louisville in 1956, then back to Eastview in 1971, she added a notch to her homemaker career. For over 12 years she was the anchor of operations at their grocery Roy's Food Mart at Four Corners-while maintaing her role as wife and mother. She and Roy purchased a farm where they lived for 47 years as they helped nurture grandchildren and great-grandchildren.Proverbs 31: 10-12 and 29 describe a good women " Who can find a virtuous women? For her price is far above rubies. The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her so that he shall have no need of spoil. She will do him good and not evil all days of her life. Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all."She was preceded in death by her Parents and a Son, Leo Cundiff, Daughter-in-law, Christy Cundiff (Tim), Grandson-in-Law, Koty Parks (Whitney).She is survived by her loving Husband of 71 years, Roy Elbert Cundiff of Eastview, KY. Daughter, Cheryl (Frank) Fraze of Eastview, KY, Son, Timothy Cundiff of Rome, GA, her Brother, Edwin (Wanda) Nichols of Eastview, KY, Sister, Lois Sherrard of Richland, NC, four Grandsons five Granddaughter, nine Great-granddaughter, one Great-grandson. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday March 12, 2025 1:00 pm at Manakee Funeral Home in Elizabethtown, KY With Bro. Tim Cundiff officiating. Burial will be held at the Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.Visitation will be Wednesday 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Manakee Funeral Home in Elizabethtown.Condolences may be expressed on-line at www.manakeefuneralhome.com
