Judy was born on October 19, 1942, in Burdette, SD to Reuben and Lucille (Gross) Hansen. She graduated from Tulare High School in 1960.
In June of 1962, she married Marvin Jungwirth in Athol, SD. They lived in Athol until 1968 when they moved to their farm west of Athol. Together they made it their forever home with their six children.
Judy was an active member of the VFW club, as well as the St. Mary's Altar Society. For many years, Judy was the news contributor for the Athol area to the Redfield Press newspaper. She also enjoyed attending the monthly coffee chat in Athol with her neighbors and friends. Judy loved to garden and was well known for her cooking, especially her fried chicken and her raised doughnuts.
Judy loved and adored her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was always ready to go to any of her grandchildren's events and went out of her way to do so.
On April 11, 2002, the good Lord called her beloved husband of 39 years home.
In October of 2004, Judy married Gary Watson. They left Cheyenne, WY in 2008 and made their home in Rolla, MO to leave the harsh winters behind. They spent their days outside, as Judy loved her flowers and growing things.
Judy is survived by her husband of 18 years Gary Watson, Rolla, MO; sons: Tom Jungwirth, Hoven, SD; Daniel (Sheryl) Jungwirth, Tulare, SD; Randy Jungwirth, Athol, SD; and Tim Watson, Des Moines, IA; daughters: Lisa Graham, Naples, FL; Paula (Harry) Cowgill, McClelland, IA; and Pamela (Mike) Mara, Rolla, MO. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and sisters-in-law: Caroline Kegler and Cathy Jungwirth, both of Athol.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, Marvin Jungwirth; parents Reuben and Lucille Hansen; and sisters: Kendra Luze and Beryl Johnson.
