Judith 'Judy' Haynes Obituary Judith "Judy" A. Haynes, 84, of Byesville, passed away Sunday (April 13, 2025) at Select Specialty Hospital of Newark after a brief illness.
She was born March 4, 1941 in Byesville, daughter of the late Thomas Hogan and Kathryn L. (Beatty) Hogan Padgett.
Judy was a 1959 graduate of Byesville High School, where she was a member of the band and also a majorette. She was a daycare provider in her home for over fifty years.
Judy loved to go to the Great Smoky Mountains and to Gatlinburg with her late husband, Dana. She enjoyed cross-stitching, reading, working puzzles, and gardening. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and going to their many school functions whenever she could.
She formerly attended Calvary Baptist Church of Byesville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dana E. Haynes, who passed away September 3, 2019. They were married July 2, 1960. Also deceased is a son, Jeff.
Judy is survived by three daughters, Lori (Rick) Adams of Byesville, Stephanie (Brian) Diss of Byesville, and Melissa (Rob) Long of Frazeysburg; a brother, Dan Hogan of Zanesville; a sister, Debbie (Larry) Marlatt of Salesville; ten grandchildren, Amanda, Amber (Jeremy), Matt (Robin), Kayla, Brittany, Brianna, Sophia, Stella, Claire, and Cooper; nine great-grandchildren, Madison, Brooklynn, Hannah, Carly, Sydney, Willow, Beckett, Wendy, and Dallin; and several nieces & nephews.
Visitation will be held Wednesday (April 16, 2025) from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville, where funeral services will be held Thursday (April 17, 2025) at 11 a.m. with Evan. Woody Biggs officiating.
Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Byesville.
