Obituary of Judith Ann Kazlauskas
Judith Ann "Judy" Kazlauskas, age 84, a longtime resident of Joliet, passed away peacefully, Friday, November 15, 2024, at Sunnyhill Nursing Home, with her loving family by her side.
Born July 7, 1940 in Wedron, LaSalle County, IL, she was the daughter of the late Harold L. and Pearl (Anderson) Wing, Sr., and was raised in Ottawa, IL.
Judy was the proud and dearly loved matriarch of her large family, and taught them many valuable life lessons. She also worked outside the home in both sales and management in retail.
A talented cook and baker who also did her own canning, she will be remembered for her taco pizza, mushroom pork chops, stuffed mushrooms, and her famous rhubarb jelly. She loved tending to her goldfish, putting together puzzles, taking trips to Ottawa for her favorite pork tenderloins, and shopping at Goodwill and Walgreens.
She is the beloved mother of Carol (Dan Alonzo) Moody, Debra (James) Gall, the late Bud Miller, Jodene (Gary) Bick and Lisa (Michael) Seeman; the adoring grandmother, William (Kellie) Moody, Jr., Derrick (Tiffany) Moody, Kristine (Brad) Krebsbach, Jason (Kelly) Morgan, Jennifer (Christopher) Papadopoulos, Nicholas Bick, Tyler Seeman, USMC, and Rebecca Seeman; and dear great-grandma to Gunnar and Olivia Moody, Marlee Nugent, Destany and Zackary Krebsbach, and Melina and Theodoros Papadopoulos.
Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; her son, Bud; her parents, Harold and Pearl; and seven brothers and sisters.
Services for Judy Kazlauskas will be held Friday, November 22, 2024, at 11:30 a.m., at the Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel, where interment will follow.
