Judith Joan Lamfers

Ashton, IA  

 Judith Lamfers age 90 of Ashton, IA died on Sunday, February 16, 2025, at the Country View Manor in Sibley, IA. 

 A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at the Jurrens Funeral Home in Ashton, with Pastor Dan Kunnari officiating. 

 Public visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the Jurrens Funeral Home of Ashton. 

 In lieu of flowers, the Lamfers family prefers memorials be directed to Ashton Bible Church in Ashton, IA. 

 Judith Joan Lamfers was born on October 18, 1934, to William and Luetta (Dilly) Lamfers at home on the farm. She attended country school in her youth. Judy graduated from Ashton High School in Ashton, IA. After high school, she took a position as a telephone operator at Northwestern Bell in Sheldon, IA. Judy worked until her retirement after 43 years of service in Sioux Falls, SD. 

 Judith is survived by three sisters, Audrey Hart, Elaine Weets, and Patricia (Donald) Hackel; and a sister-in-law, Darlene Lamfers. 

 She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Stanley (Rose Marie) Lamfers, and Virgel Lamfers; sisters, Phyllis (John) Dickey, and Delores (Henry) Kroese; brothers-in-law, Harlan (Bill) Weets, and Julian Hart; and nephews, William Dickey and George Dickey.
