Ms. Judith Ann "Judy" (Peters) Moore, age 78, of Vevay, Indiana, entered this life on February 13, 1947 in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late Robert E. "Jake" and Geraldine (Chase) Peters. She was raised in Vevay, Indiana and France and was a 1965 graduate of the Vevay High School. Judy was a former secretary for Cole Bakes Insurance in Vevay, Indiana for several years. She was later employed for the Vevay IGA and Belterra Casino & Resort for a few years. Judy was a former member of the Vevay American Legion Post #185 Ladies Auxiliary. Judy lived a life full of love, laughter, and adventure. Judy had a deep passion for gardening and took great pride in tending to her indoor plants. She could often be found working on a puzzle or planning her next trip with friends-Vegas being one of her favorite destinations. She had a special place in her heart for animals, especially cats and dogs, and her home was always filled with warmth and love. Above all, Judy was a devoted mother and a doting grandmother. She adored her grandchildren and cherished every moment she spent with them. She had a feisty spirit and a sharp sense of humor that kept everyone on their toes, always bringing joy and laughter to those around her. Judy passed away at 11:52 p.m., Monday, February 17, 2025, at the Swiss Villa Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Vevay, Indiana. A day that will forever hold both sorrow and love, as it was also her grandson's birthday. While her family grieves her loss, they take comfort in knowing she is reunited with Gage, holding him in her arms.
Judith will be missed by her sons, Jerry Wayne Moore of Vevay, IN and Christopher Brian "Chris" Moore of Vevay, IN; her grandchildren, Morgan Moore of Louisville, KY, Hannah Moore of Vevay, IN, and Evan Moore of Vevay, IN; her sister, Jackie Johnston of Erlanger, KY and her several nieces, nephews and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert E. "Jake" Peters; her mother, Geraldine (Chase) Peters; her infant grandson, Gage Logan Moore, died February 19, 2000; her brother, Bob Peters, and her sister, Mary Jane Peters.
Judy's wishes were to be cremated and no services are being held at this time.
