Judith A. "Judy" Mulherin

Judith A. "Judy" (Townsend) Mulherin, 84, of Evansville, passed away Saturday, July 5, 2025 at the Linda E. White Hospice House. She was born October 28, 1940, in Evansville to the late Walter and Catherine (Barthel) Townsend.
Judy was a graduate of Mater Dei High School and spent 15 years working in the Total Banking Trust Division at INB Bank. A devoted member of Christ the King Church, she was deeply rooted in her Catholic faith and had a special devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Judy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished every moment with her family. She also held a deep appreciation for the time spent with her siblings, which brought her great joy.
Judy is survived by her daughters, Maureen O'Daniel, Jane Russell (Todd) and Ann Schapker (Roger) all of Evansville; sons, Pat Mulherin (December), Mike Mulherin (Jane) both of Evansville, Tom Mulherin of Terre Haute, John Mulherin (Pepper) and Matt Mulherin (Angela) both of Evansville; grandchildren, Kaitlin Conde (Ivan), Janelle Fehn (Matt), Justin Mulherin, Michael Mulherin (Katie), Johnny and Marianna Mulherin, Adrianna O'Daniel, Madeline Macon (Tristan), Joe O'Daniel, Morgan Mulherin, Jackson Mulherin, Dillon Mulherin (Kenzie), Fallon Mulherin, Mallory and Josh Russell, Austin Schapker (Haley), Nolan Schapker (Jill),Taylor Schapker, Luke, Ethan and Trent Mulherin; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters, Carolyn Allen, Mary Jane Pfister (Jim) and Kathy Seibert; and brothers, Dan Townsend (Katie), Mike Townsend (Mary Jo) and David Townsend (Lynna).
In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Thomas G. Mulherin; grandson, Nicholas O'Daniel; sisters, Joan Seib, Sarah Tepool, Suzanne Lohrer and Rita Townsend; and brothers, Richard Townsend and Thomas Townsend.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at Annunciation Parish-Christ the King Church, 3010 Chandler Avenue, Evansville, IN 47714. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:30 a.m. at the church with Father Benny Chacko officiating.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
