Judith A. Plaister, 85, passed away October 13, 2025 at St. Mary’s Healthcare in Amsterdam, NY.
Born in Gloversville, NY on September 10, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Mario and Louise Dambrosi Trippodo.
Judy received her education in the Gloversville school system and was a graduate of Gloversville High School Class of 1959.
Judy retired as a supervisor from Montco Manufacturing in Amsterdam.
She was a longtime member of the Irish American Club.
On June 9, 1972, she was united in marriage to Matthew Plaister who predeceased her on April 19, 2016.
She was also predeceased by her daughter, Leslie Maliszewski, brothers, Mario, Louis and Ross Trippodo and sister, Patricia LaChance.
Judy is survived by her daughter, Tammy Mancuso of Amsterdam, son, Colin Plaister (Marjorie) of Fredonia, NY; grandchildren, Samantha Mancuso, Matthew, Jeffrey and Brenden Plaister, nieces, Melissa and Melinda Trippodo and nephew Chris (Amy) Quackenbush.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Judy’s family on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 12 noon at the Riley Mortuary, 110 Division Street, Amsterdam, NY 12010
Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Amsterdam.
Memorial gifts in Judy’s name may be made to Montgomery County SPCA, 1232 NY-5S, Amsterdam, NY 12010.
