Judith Powers Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Generations Funeral Home & Crematory - Tomahawk on Dec. 31, 2025.
Judith "Judy" M. Powers, 83, of Tomahawk, WI, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, under the care of her family and Aspirus Comfort Care & Hospice. Judy was born to the late Rudolf and Esther (Barney) Martin on April 19, 1942, in Tomahawk, where she spent her life deeply rooted in the community she loved.
On February 9, 1960, Judy was united in marriage to Anthony Powers, beginning a lifelong partnership built on love, dedication, and family. Judy devoted many years of service to others through her work as an EMT in the Tomahawk Emergency Room. She had a passion for baking and was happiest when her home was filled with family. She especially treasured gatherings where her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren could all be together. Known for her simple joys, Judy delighted in coffee and Cheetos, trips to the casino, and sharing laughs with those around her. She was an active member of the Red Hat Society for several years and enjoyed the friendships and fun it brought. Judy loved the outdoors, spending time hunting and fishing, and she was always busy making crafts and crocheting numerous afghans.
Survivors include her husband of over 65 years, Tony Powers; her sons, Lance Powers and Blaine (Sheri) Powers; and her daughter, Toni "Hokie" (Jeff) Renn. She is further survived by her grandchildren, Kyle (Julie) Powers, Lance Ryan Powers, Kayla Powers, and Brooke (Jordan) Burton; and her great-grandchildren, Madison, Mason, Vivian, and Brody. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rudolf and Esther; her daughter-in-law, Marilyn Powers; and her brothers and sisters.
Sadly, Tony passed on December 31, 2025. A combined service for both Judy and Tony will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at Generations Funeral Home, at 2:00 PM. Rev. Ross Nelson will officiate. The family will receive friends for visitation from 12:00 PM until the time of services at 2:00 PM. Generations Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family.
