Judith Louise Stratton

On Friday, December 26, 2025 Judith "Judy" Louise (Knox) Stratton found her peace when she passed away at home with her loving family near her. She was 82 years young.

Judy was born in Woodstock, Ontario, Canada to the late Robert and Kathleen (French) Knox. For most of her early life she grew up in London, Ontario Canada. Where after graduating from high school and the Victoria Hospital School of Nursing, she began working in London as a registered nurse before moving to Hawaii to continue her nursing. She eventually moved to Westerly and worked for a time at the Watch Hill Manor before stepping aside to raise her family.

For 55 years she was a loving and devoted wife to her surviving husband, Edward Stratton. A remarkably dedicated and loving mom to her four children: Ed "Ted", Dan, Heather and Melissa. She was also an incredibly loving grandmother to her grandchildren: Emma, Aidan, Caleb, Maddie and Rebekah.

Her great love for her family is remembered by her surviving sisters and brother: Margaret, Virginia, and Peter. And by her extended family who remember her as a wonderful aunt, loving cousin and sister-in-law.

She was also a woman who relied upon her faith, who was a loyal member for several decades at the United Congregational Church of Westerly. During those years she participated in various events. Even serving as a Missions Committee member and then eventually becoming its leader.

Judy treasured her family and her friends. Showed her warmth, kindness, humor, and selflessness by her actions and always stayed true to who she was.

A future remembrance service will be held in early 2026.
