Judy Ellen Lewis was born June 28, 1954 in Leslie County, KY to the union of the late Clemmie and Cora Baker Callahan.
Judy had been a life-long resident of Leslie County. She was a homemaker, a loving & devoted wife, loving mother, sister, aunt and friend.
Aside from being a hard working homemaker, Judy enjoyed gardening, and canning her harvest. Other times, she enjoyed watching cooking shows and an occasional manicure.
Family was at the forefront of Judy's life; Her siblings, nieces, and nephews held a special place in her heart. Her aunt Ruth was a continuous source or love and guidance in her life. She also had a great admiration and love for a dog named "Teddy".
Judy departed this walk of life on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at the UK Medical Center in Lexington, KY at the age 70.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Lewis, her three children Maryann, Cora Ann, and Clemmie Lewis. Two brothers Monroe and Kenneth Callahan.
Judy leaves behind two brothers Clemmie Callahan (Kim) and Jimmy Callahan; four sisters Lorraine Kilburn, Vernell Feltner, Vinnie Harris, and Sheila Callahan; a special aunt Ruth Lewis; two she loved as her own daughters Serena Morgan and Gracie Fouts; special friend Russell Sizemore; As well as a host of nieces and nephews she truly loved.
The funeral service for Judy Lewis will be held at 2p.m. Sunday, June 29, 2025 in the chapel of Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home with Mike Hall officiating.
Interment will follow in the Beech Bottom Cemetery at Yeaddiss, KY with Shane Denham, Preston Denham, Eric Estep, Vinnie Harris, Clemmie Callahan, and Martha Estep serving as pallbearers.
Friends and family may gather for visitation from 12 noon until the service hour on Sunday at the chapel.
Arrangements are being handled carefully under the direction of Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home.
