Julia Lea Hayes, 46, of Fishers, IN passed away August 14, 2024. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on December 21, 1977 to Ronald West and Linda West. 

Julia graduated from Carmel High School where she participated on the the swim team, Carmel Swim Club, and was a member of the IUPUI sail club. She was a championship swimmer for the high school. Julia was offered a swim scholarship from Indiana University, which she accepted and went on to receive her Bachelor's Degree in Communications. Later in life, Julia continued her education to become a realtor, which she worked the duration of her life. Julia enjoyed supporting her children in their athletics and athletic endeavors throughout school. She was always their biggest fan and even in her illness, continued to do her best to attend their sporting events or made arrangements to continue to participate. Julia was a member of Heartland Church in Fishers, where she attended regularly. She enjoyed going sailing and boating in Michigan with her father. 

Julia is survived by her mother, Linda West; father, Ronald West; children, Aaliyah Hayes, Malik Hayes and Jayce West; and sister, Shelley West.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Indiana Funeral Care, 8151 Allisonville Rd., Indianapolis, IN 46250. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2024 at 11:00 a.m., also at the funeral home.
