She was born on April 21, 1947, in Munich, Germany to the late James Elvis and Sara Aileen Colquitt Gantt.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry James Slater on February 4, 2012.
Dee was employed by K-Mart until her retirement in 2000.
She was a High School graduate.
She was of the Baptist Faith.
Dee is survived by her daughter Kathleen Michelle Rudegeair; son Edward James Rudegeair; sister Alpha Anita Khan; brother Alan T. Gantt; grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
For the convenience of family and friends the Osborne Funeral Home, P.A. 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD will be open on Thursday, December 5, 2024, from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm.
Military graveside services will be held at Quantico National Cemetery 18424 Joplin Rd. Triangle, VA on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at 11:00 am. Services will be for Larry and Julia Slater.
Memorial donations may be made to: Humane Society of Washington County 13011 Maugansville Rd. Hagerstown, MD 21740
