Julie was born on March 11, 1959 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Joyce and John Carter. Julie was the third out of six children. In 1962 they moved to Bountiful where Julie would live for the rest of her life. She attended and graduated from Viewmont High School in 1977. She would marry Danny Bost in 1978, and they would have a baby boy in 1985 (Danny Bost Jr.)

Julie worked at Deluxe, SDI, and Pikes, where she would make several lifelong friends. She always made sure to keep in contact with them and make sure they knew they were cared for.

Julie became a Grandma in 2017 and again in 2019 to Shelby and Lila Bost. She loved those girls very much and would make sure she could visit them as often as she could. One of her favorite things to do was to buy little toy cars and trinkets for nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. They always knew that when they would come to give her a hug, a toy would soon follow.

Julie loved to take care of animals and had a dog named Patches that she loved every moment with. After Patches' passing, she started taking care of all the stray cats in her neighborhood, making sure they always had food, water, and a warm place to sleep. She always kept dog treats with her so she could share them with all the dogs she could find.

One of Julie's favorite pass times was to go to Manila, Utah to go camping and fishing. She always said the best fish bate was a small, colored marshmallow and a worm. Julie also enjoyed making diamond art pictures, coloring, shopping with her mom, and drinking beer (Natural lite). Her favorite music to listen to was Dean Martin and Blake Shelton.

Julie is survived by her mother and father (Joyce and John Carter), brothers Butch (Susie), Mike (Kelly), and sisters Rae (Lonnie) and Jo (Rod); her son Danny (Jody) and granddaughters Shelby and Lila. She is preceded in death by her brother Jon Carter and niece Misty Parish.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm March 7, 2025 at Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. where friends and family may visit from 12:30 – 1:30 pm prior to services.
