Julie Lynn Sternitzky, age 59, of Poy Sippi, died peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday, September 29, 2022, at ThedaCare Medical Center-Berlin.
She was born November 19, 1962, in Fond du Lac, WI, the daughter of Frederick and Joan Meisenburg Hau. Julie was a 1980 graduate of Goodrich High School. Julie was a stay-at-home mother, teacher, home builder and artist who stayed very busy crafting, painting, gardening, cake decorating, jewelry making, sewing and so much more. She loved being outdoors, especially during her annual fishing trip to Blue Lake with her significant other, John.
Julie steadfastly and lovingly put her children first. She was our greatest cheerleader and our forever friend. Always willing to help others, her friends and family could count on Julie to be there for them. In life, she was just a phone call away, and now she has taken her place as our guardian angel and our burgundy butterfly.
She is survived by her significant other, John Olsen; daughters, Holly (Joshua) Oxley and Heather Sternitzky (Tim); son, Christopher Sternitzky (Kaelin); grandson, Norris Oxley; mother, Joan; sister, Deann (Jack) Balog; brothers, Brian (Janice) Hau and Eric (Stephanie) Hau; sister-in-law, Ivonne Hau; and many nieces and nephews. Julie was preceded in death by her father, Frederick; brother, Kevin Hau; and uncle, Allen Hau.
Per Julie's wishes, no services will be held. Arrangements have been entrusted to Barbola-Hempel Funeral Chapel in Poy Sippi. Anyone wishing to send a sympathy card to the family, please mail to Julie Sternitzky, c/o Barbola-Hempel Funeral Chapel, PO Box 201, Poy Sippi, WI 54967.
