Massena: June A. Dywan, age 93, passed away on Friday, August 15, 2025, at North Country Rehab and Nursing Center. Friends and family are welcome to call the Phillips Memorial Home on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00pm

A Mass of Christian burial will take place at 10:00 am on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at St. Mary's Church, Massena with Rev. Mark Reilly officiating. Burial to take place in Calvary Cemetery, Massena after the service.

June was born to the late Francis and Frances (Sharpe) Laraby in Massena on March 29, 1932. She attended Massena Schools, and shortly after graduation, she was married to her loving husband, Chester S. Dywan, on September 26, 1953, at the Church of the Sacred Heart with Rev. John Pendergast presiding.

June was involved with the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary, the St. Mary's Sacred Heart League and the Massena Senior Citizens. She was an excellent seamstress and quilted with the Calico Quilters. June loved gardening especially flowers. She was a member of the Home Bureau and loved crafts of all kinds including stained glass. June was a loving mother, homemaker and devoted wife. She enjoyed spending time with her immediate family and grandchildren. June loved a good chat with her friends.

June is survived by her three daughters: Marcia Dywan of Massena, Monica Mclaughlin and husband Fred McLaughlin of Louisville, Christy Cecot of Louisville, NY along with a son Nick Dywan of Loveland, Colorado. She is survived by sixteen grandchildren: fifteen great-grandchildren. June is survived by her siblings Gail Lane of Fort Collins, Colorado, Carolyn Reynolds, Kissimmee, Florida.

In addition to her parents, June was predeceased by her husband Chester, her siblings, Marie Woods, Shirley Podgurski, Kay Tiernan, Frances Stickles, along with a son in-law Daniel Cecot.

Memorial contribution may be shared with St. Peters Parish.
