June M. Yager Jenkins, 90, of Stittville passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at The Pines at Utica Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation.
She was born on June 5, 1933 in Utica a daughter of the late Lloyd and Evelyn (Jackson) Yager. In 1952 at Olivet Presbyterian Church she was united in marriage to Benjamin Jenkins, a blessed union of 58 years. Mr. Jenkins passed away on January 2, 2010.
Mrs. Jenkins was a LPN having been employed for many years with St. Joseph's Nursing Home in Utica and St. Elizabeth's Hospital prior to her retirement. She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church in Whitesboro.
She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who cherished the time she spent with her family. During her free time she enjoyed gardening, camping and Bluegrass Festivals. She also enjoyed playing the organ and was very proud that she studied under organist Steven Best.
She is survived by her children, Judi Paquette and her husband Rodney of Remsen, William Jenkins and his wife Cynthia of Stittville, and Daniel Jenkins and his wife Michelle of Havelock, NC. She leaves her grandchildren: Nicole Paquette, Sean Paquette (Jacquelyn Koba), Rebekah Bond (Cory Bond), Abigail Jenkins (Eric Johnson), Kassandra Jenkins, and Amaya Bennett Jenkins (Lorenzo Lockwood). She also leaves her great grandchildren, Haley, Brayton, Brooklyn and Phoenix. She also leaves a sister, Susan Yager Campbell (Terry) of Indian Land, SC as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her granddaughter, Amanda Paquette, and her brother, Donald G. Yager.
Her funeral service will be on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 12:00 Noon at the Dimbleby Funeral Homes Inc., 7944 Steuben St., Holland Patent. Interment will follow in the Olden Barneveld Cemetery in Barneveld. Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday prior to the service from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon.
