Justin grew up in Woodland Park, N.J. He spent the last 2 years in Huntington Beach, CA surrounded by nature's beauty while bettering himself, while working with those suffering from addiction, helping others on their journey.
Justin was a bright light and touched so many lives with his compassion, kindness and love and his sense of humor and ability to connect with people. He was most comfortable in nature, hiking the mountains, watching the sunset on the beach or gazing at the moon and heavens above. He was a lover of all animals, especially of his dog cloud.
He is survived by his son, Alexander, who was the love of his life; mother, Helen Koch and Stepfather, Jack Koch: sister, Julia Hoyt and her mate, Anthony Gennarelli; grandmother, Karen Pettorini, grandfather, Ernie Laguerra and his wife, Sally; and many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends, all of whom will forever miss Justin's shining Light.
Funeral Services are private at the request of the family.
Arrangements are under the care of Shook's Cedar Grove Funeral Home, 486 Pompton Ave., Cedar Grove, N.J. Memories and condolences may be shared at shookscedargrove.com.

The first time justin and I got to spend time together it felt so natural, his smile was so welcoming. His laugh was so beautiful. The way he spike about his son was something magical he was proud to be his father and wanted to better himself for his son. Justin an I were together as a couple for a short time but always kept our friendship. He was an amazing person. So understanding. He cared so much for many people. And wanted them to be on the right path in life. I am really going to miss you justin. I love you. And thank you for being apart of my life.

I´m devastated. He had so much life left. So many more people to impact.
I always looked forward to seeing him show up at my Sober Living to deliver meds. He wasn´t ever in a bad mood and could always make me smile.
