Justin Alden Hylton, age 17, of LaFayette, passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2025, after a heroic battle with cancer.
He attended LaFayette High School where he was a junior and played on the football team. Justin loved football, mustangs, riding 4 wheelers and spending time with his brothers. He always loved a good game of chess. Justin had a passion for the military and wanted to be a military police officer followed by a Georgia state patrol officer. He had an invitation to the White House to have lunch with President Trump that unfortunately didn't get to happen due to his loss.
He loved playing Xbox and spending time with his best friend Chris Duncan.
Justin absolutely adored his healthcare team in Chattanooga who worked so diligently to make his cancer journey the best it could be. Words could never describe the love, compassion, hard work and dedication that they showed.
He admired and loved his Football coaches who reached out whether it was a call, text or visit to give him pep talks and inspiration to stay in the fight. Thank you for making an impact on Justin's life and making him feel a part of the team. We would like to thank Coach Tyler Edgeman, Brent Martin, Noah Collins, Drew Poarch, and Jacob Keith for always making time to reach out and inspire him through his journey.
Justin is survived by his parents, Christopher and Amanda Hylton; brothers, Joshua and Noah Hylton; grandparents, Roby and Darlene Hylton and Marla Unroe; cousins, family, friends, and Papa Ron.
A funeral service will be held at 5:00 pm on Thursday, May 15, in the Wilbanks Memorial Chapel. Live stream available via TikTok@Pinkbuglady
Interment will take place at LaFayette City Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Josh Hylton, Ronald Williams, Greg Weaver, Chris Duncan, Noah Collins, and Tyler Edgeman.
A visitation will take place on Thursday from 2:00 pm to the hour of service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the funeral home to help with the purchase of a headstone and remaining funeral expenses.
Arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.

So sad to hear this news. I know he would have loved to have visited the WH and Mr. Trump. RIP.
