Justin Trevor Lea, 51, of Saint Genevieve, Mo passed away Thursday, August 31, 2023.
He was born on September 13, 1971 to Dennis R Lea and Konnie J. (Klofkorn) Lea in Joplin, Missouri.
Justin graduated from Fulton High School, class of 1989, where he played football and golf. Later he played football on a scholarship at Missouri Valley College. Justin graduated from Moberly Junior College. Justin spent his working life serving as a construction Superintendent and a member of Labor Union Local 42, St. Louis, Missouri.
Justin was an avid collector of Indian artifacts, additionally he enjoyed spending time outdoors, target shooting, exploring state parks, and walking with his dogs. Justin enjoyed working out, summers by the pool, playing catch with his son, and spending time watching his son play baseball. Justin's passion was riding his Night Train Harley Davidson, fishing, woodworking, playing pickleball and cornhole with his neighbors and friends. He will always be remembered for his amazing smile and his willingness to lend a hand to his friends and family. Justin will be greatly missed by many.
Justin is survived by his son, Chaytin Trevor Lea, and life partner Amy McCormick both of Saint Genevieve, Missouri; brother Jason T Lea (Carolyne) of Centralia, Missouri; sister Whitney J. Mitchell (David), Lantana, Texas; nieces Madison Lea and Karlea Mitchell; nephews, Carter Mitchell, and Tucker Mitchell; and seven cousins, Brady (Kathryn) and Aaron (Kim) Smith, Lory, Tracy, Jerod (Katie) Lea, Amy Klofkorn, Kelly Jo Rich.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Willard and Virginia Lea, Jack and Betty Klofkorn; aunt, Marsha (Klofkorn) Smith; uncles, Gilbert Smith and Richard Lea; and great uncle Gary D. Klofkorn.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at Maupin Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Ron Baker and Pastor Eric Holmes officiating. Friends will be received from 11:00am until the time of service. Interment will be in the Callaway Memorial Gardens.
