Justin L. Scrougham, age 16, passed away all too soon on Friday afternoon, February 4, 2022 at his home in Brown County.
Justin was born June 1, 2005 in Bloomington. He was a Sophomore at Brown County High School and aspired to join the military after graduation. Justin enjoyed the outdoors, through archery and fishing. He also enjoyed playing video games, watching movies and woodworking. Justin attended the Parkview Church of the Nazarene in Nashville.
He is survived by his father, Joseph R. 'Joe' Scrougham of Brown County; mother, Cassie Townsend of Texas; sister, Alexandria 'Alex' (Kyle Wilkins) Scrougham of Nashville; paternal grandmother, Rebecca Scrougham of Nashville; maternal grandmother, Willow Townsend of Tennessee; maternal grandfather, Walker Townsend of Bloomfield; aunts, Gwenn Wooton and Gail Wilson; uncles, Robert Townsend & TJ Townsend; and several cousins.
Justin was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Gerald Scrougham.
The Rev. Stan Loutner will conduct a funeral service on Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Brown County.
Memorial contributions may be sent in honor of Justin to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.
