Karen Ann Mullen

Karen Ann (Morris) Mullen, exceptional wife and mother who devoted her life to the love, care, and
support of her family above all, passed away on October 6, 2022, at the age of 83. She was born on
January 8, 1939, at her grandmother's home in Winooski, VT, the daughter of Melvin and Rita (Landry)
Morris. She graduated from Cathedral High School, Class of 1956. On May 16, 1957, she was married to
Peter M. Mullen of Burlington. She was predeceased by her husband Peter, and is survived by her sister,
Nancy (Morris) Houle and her husband John "Ray" Houle of Lancaster, CA; her four sons, Michael of
Burlington, VT, Jeffrey of Parsonsfield, ME, Timothy and his fiancé Jennifer Nichols of South Hero, VT,
and James of Colchester, VT; and grandchildren Devon, John, Timothy (TJ), and Shannon; and great-
grandchildren Grady, and Lachlan; as well as many c ousins, nieces, grandnieces and grandnephew. The
family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the RN's and LPN's of UVMMC Baird 6, and
McClure 6 for the wonderful care and comfort they provided her during her final days. She lived and
died by her beliefs and wishes, and as per her wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral services (a
private service will be held at a later date). Arrangements are in the care of Champlain Cremation Services,
Donation's in Karen's memory should be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or to a charity of one's own choosing.
