Karen Sue Perkins, 79, of Anderson, passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2025 at her home in Anderson following an extended illness.
She was born on October 5, 1945 in Anderson, Indiana to Richard and Norma (Haskell) Fox. She was a graduate of Lapel High School.
Karen retired in 2000 from Bridgestone Firestone as a laborer. After retirement, she worked at Hypro-Filtration for several years. She loved to travel and spend time with her family and friends.
Karen is survived by a daughter, Connie (Andrew) Stone of Anderson; a son, James (Stephanie) Perkins of Arizona; two sisters, Gina Savage and Bonnie Partlow; five grandchildren, Emily Perkins, Zachary Perkins, Jacob Gray, Cody Gray, and Sierrah Cunningham; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years whom she married October 4, 1997, Robert Perkins; her parents; a sister, Sandra Spencer; an infant child, Wesley; and one niece.
Cremation will take place.
A visitation for family and friends will take place on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Bozell Funeral Homes, Lapel Chapel, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel, Indiana 46051.
Burial will follow visitation at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
