Karen Sue Stewart ObituaryKaren Sue Stewart, 67
EAST LIVERPOOL – Karen Sue Stewart, of East Liverpool, passed away suddenly Friday, May 30, 2025, at the East Liverpool City Hospital. She was 67 years old.
Born in East Liverpool, September 10, 1957, she was a daughter of the late David and Deloris Mae Hall. A lifetime area resident, she was a member of the East Liverpool High School Class of 1975 and later earned a degree from Jeff Tech. Karen worked as a paralegal, first at her sister's law practice and then worked at the Aronson, Fineman and Davis Law Firm for 27 years until her retirement. She attended St. John Lutheran Church and was active in Business and Professional Women's Association at one time. Karen was also the president of the Tri-State Genealogy Society.
She is survived by her husband, Terry L. Stewart at home. The couple married April 22, 1978. Together they raised three children: a daughter Amber Salsberry (Tim) and a son Terry Stewart II (fiancée Lauren) and her late son Jonathan A. "Stew" Stewart. There are seven loving grandchildren: Devon Salsberry, Jaymin Salsberry, Eli Stewart, Claire Stewart, Aubrey Stewart, Emma Salsberry, and Drake Stewart along with a daughter-in-law Rebecca Melott Stewart. In addition, Karen is also survived by two sisters, Coleen Hall Dailey and Dawn Hall-Hardy (Steve), and a brother, David L. Hall II (Katharine). Also left to cherish her memory are several nieces and nephews as well as her dog Willow.
Friends may visit Tuesday at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. The Rev. Eric M. Edwards will conduct a funeral service on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Crest Haven Memorial Gardens.
Following the service, family and friends will gather at the Dawson Family Center for fellowship.
