Katharine Albright Wagner, age 91, passed away peacefully at her home in Stanton TN on May 27, 2025, after a long battle with dementia. Funeral services will be held at Stanton Baptist Church on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at 2:00 PM, with Bro. Ed Miller officiating.

Katharine, fondly nicknamed "Kackie", was born on November 24, 1933, in Stanton, TN to George Nicholas Albright, and Katharine Maxwell Albright. Kackie was a proud member of the Haywood High School class of 1951 and then attended Memphis State College, where she graduated with a degree in elementary education.

Kackie married Emory Wagner in 1955, and they raised five children on their farm in Stanton. She taught 4th grade at Tennessee Academy, where she considered each of her students as one of her own. She later worked as an office manager for Methodist Home Health and then at the Delta Heritage Center. Kackie was a faithful member for many years at the Stanton Methodist Church, where she enjoyed teaching children's Sunday School and participating in the United Methodist Women's organization.

She was preceded in death by her mother Katharine Albright, her father George Albright, and her husband of nearly 57 years, Emory Wagner. She leaves her daughters, Ann Rivera of Piperton, TN, Karen Cummings of Medina, TN, Katharine Kornfeld (Murray) of Greenwood, MS, Amy Wagner of Stanton, TN, her son, George Wagner of Oracle, AZ, her grandchildren Kristen Prange of Memphis, TN, Scott Prange of Jackson, TN, Elizabeth Prange of Medina, TN, and Matthew Rivera (Stefani) of San Francisco, CA, and great-grandchildren Emma Hockett and Bjork Prange.

The family wishes to express their appreciation to Miss Kathleen Johnson for her invaluable assistance in caring for Kackie during her lengthy illness.
