Katherina Stewart

On Saturday March 1st, 2025, our loving Wife, Mother, Daughter, and Sister, joined her Dad and Daughter in Heaven.
Katie was born August 24th, 1977 in Boise, Idaho and was the 6th out of 7 children born to Neldon & Cathye Sommerville.
Katie grew up in Lodi, California spending summers swimming with her sisters at Tokay High School. She loved playing hide and seek as well as kick the can with all the neighborhood kids. She also loved chalk drawing in the driveway and dancing in the front yard.
In 1994, Katie moved with her mom, dad and little sister to Utah, where she attended Kearns High School. In 1996, Katie met the love of her life, Jason Stewart. Together they created a beautiful family they love, Starr, Presten, and Raven Stewart.
Katie loved spending time crafting, gardening, reading and decorating her home, as well as concerts in the summer with her husband and making wreaths she sold. Katie enjoyed cooking and baking for her family. With all she enjoyed, what she enjoyed most was being a Mother and spending time with her family.
Katie is survived by her husband Jason, her children Raven (9), Presten (19), and Starr (22), her step son Duane Stewart (Samantha) and her grandchildren Jackson (7) and Owyn (3), her mother Cathye Sommerville and her siblings Todd (Dawna), Craig (Dana), Jared (Melissa), Melissa (Jeff), Angel, and Vanessa (Edward). She was preceded in death by her father Neldon Elmer Sommerville, Jr. (1942-2017) and her daughter Phoebe Louise Stewart (2/14/2015).
There will be a viewing and sharing of memories Saturday, March 8th, 2025, from 6pm-8pm at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway (10600 S), South Jordan UT, 84095.
