Katherine Belote Obituary

Katherine L. Belote was born on February 28, 1961. In Escondido, California, she went home to be with the Lord on July 13, 2025, in Amarillo, Texas. She married Steven L. Belote on June 27, 1992, in Las Vegas, Nevada. They had one son, Ryan Steven Belote, who is married to girl, Ryan Belote. Kathy had one grandson named Archer Reed Belote. She had one brother and three sisters: David Rogers from Norman, Oklahoma; Sharon Arents from Houston, Texas; Shelley Rogers from Phoenix, Arizona; and Danielle Rogers from Phoenix, Arizona. She had one stepdaughter, one stepson, and many step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a whole bunch of others who loved her.

Kathy was a bright, shining light in this world. She lived her life to honor and glorify Jesus Christ. Everyone who knew her knew that she was a Christian; there was no doubt about it. She never went anywhere or left a person alone that she didn't sit back and look at them and tell them, "God bless you." She used to tell our son every night, every night when she went to bed, and went in there and prayed with him, "Jesus loves you." And anytime her husband Steve and her got in a little tiff, she would bring that up and say, "You know Jesus loves you." Her favorite scripture was Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me," and he strengthened her up until the last moment. She couldn't handle the pain from the cancer that was in her body, so Jesus took her home where she can prepare a place for the other loved ones that are coming behind her, amen.
