With deep love and gratitude, we announce the passing of Kathleen Ramsay Andersen, who left this world peacefully on December 4, 2024, surrounded by her family in the comfort of her home. Kathleen was born on July 21, 1937, to Harold Vincent Ramsay and Helen Drew (Clarke) Ramsay in American Fork, Utah.

Kathleen’s life was a testament to grace, kindness, and service. She grew up in American Fork, where she graduated from American Fork High School before continuing her education at Brigham Young University, earning a bachelor’s degree in early Elementary Education. She dedicated many years to teaching and touched the lives of countless children in schools across Salt Lake City, Utah; Oahu, Hawaii; and St. George, Utah. Her love for teaching was evident in the warmth and care she showed to her students, and her impact extended far beyond the classroom.

Kathleen was a woman of many talents. She was an accomplished floral designer, painter, and seamstress. She poured love and creativity into everything she did, from the beautiful clothing and wedding dresses she crafted to the costumes she designed for her husband's theater productions. Her hands and heart were always busy, and she gave freely of her time and talents to others.

A devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Kathleen held many callings throughout her life, including Primary President, Relief Society President, and many other roles where she inspired and uplifted all those she served. Her deep faith and love for her Savior, Jesus Christ, were the foundation of her life, and her testimony was a guiding light to those around her.

Kathleen’s greatest joy was her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She shared a profound, enduring love with her beloved husband, C. Paul Andersen, with whom she spent over 60 years of marriage. She found great happiness in her children, Lisa Lee, Jill (Kenneth) Nielsen, Wendy (Ray) Reyhani, and Paul R. Andersen, as well as in her twelve grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. She treasured each of them and poured her love into their lives in countless ways.

Kathleen is preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Helen Ramsay; her beloved sister, Marylyn Ramsay; her daughter, Lisa Andersen Lee; and her cherished husband, C. Paul Andersen.

Though Kathleen is no longer with us, her legacy of love, faith, and service will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her. She is dearly missed, and her family finds comfort in the knowledge that she is now reunited with loved ones in the arms of her Savior.

A funeral service in her honor will be held on Friday, December 13, 2024 at 11 a.m.at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South. Viewings will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2024 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday, December 13, 2024 from 9:30 to10:30 a.m. Her family invites all those who knew and loved her to celebrate her life and the profound impact she had on the world.
