CHICAGO/EDGEWATER, MD –
Kathleen R. DuShane, 61, passed away peacefully on May 31st, 2024 at Anne Arundel Hospital in the presence of God and her family. She was born on May 24, 1963 to the late Charles J. and Mary T. (Flynn) DuShane.
Kathleen is preceded in death by her parents-in-law, Fredric G. and Betty J. Guthrie Parr, and brothers-in-law Rick and Jon Parr.
She is lovingly survived by her husband Michael G. Parr, stepsons Shane (Linda), Justin (Jessica) and grandchildren Gavin and Isabella. Dearest sister of Ellen (Raymond) McDermott, Charles DuShane, Patricia (Michael) Tobin, Joseph (Jacqueline) DuShane. Beloved Aunt to Jacqueline McDermott (Michael Whitford), Jennifer McDermott (Matthew Evans), Connor DuShane, Jordan DuShane, Brian (Andrea) Parr, Megan Parr, Shannon (Scott) Fest, Beth (James) Parisi, Eric(Leanne) Parr, Noah (Carole) Parr and the late Adam Parr. Dear sister-in-law of Barry (Linda) Parr, Linda Parr, and Craig (Barbara) Parr.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Kathleen's life on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD 21037, from 1pm to 2 pm. A memorial service will begin at 2pm. Kathleen will have services in Chicago at Queen of the Apostle Church, 2330 West Sunnyside Ave., Chicago, IL at a later date, with inurnment at St. Boniface Cemetery in Chicago.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Kathleen's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place • Memphis, TN 38105 or online HERE.
