Kathleen Mary (Reilly) Scibelli-Faucher, 87, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 6, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Belmullet, County Mayo, Ireland, she was the daughter of the late Domnick & Sabina (Lavelle) Reilly. Immigrating to Holyoke in 1953, she became a U.S. Citizen in 1973.
Kathleen was a kind and generous lady who loved all genres of music. Her greatest joy in life was being a mom, wife, grandma, and cooking. Kathleen loved to bring family and friends together for a homecooked meal. Her talent in the kitchen was endless, but she was best known for her meatballs and lasagna.
Kathleen was predeceased by her beloved husbands Pasquale Scibelli in 1977 and later by Aime Faucher in 1997. Kathleen was also predeceased by her brother Martin Reilly in 2014.
Surviving Kathleen is her son, Mario Scibelli & wife Mary of Wilbraham, daughters, Josie Scibelli of Springfield, Diane Scibelli Wytrych & husband Thomas of Chicopee, and son, Anthony Scibelli of Springfield.Kathleen was the proud grandmother to MichaelWytrych, Mario & Joseph Scibelli, and Danielle Woytowicz who was also a caregiver and best friend.She also leaves her brother, Paul Reilly of Chicago, siblings in Ireland, and many nieces & nephews both stateside and abroad.
Kathleens funeral services will begin with a wake from 9-10 a.m. on Saturday, January 13, at Tazzini Funeral Home, 22 Locust Street in Springfield, proceeding to her 11 a.m. Liturgy of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Burial will follow at St. Michaels Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 516 Carew St., Springfield, MA 01104.
