Kathline Rhoades - age 71 of Gallatin, MO passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City. Kathline was born on June 14, 1953, the daughter of Melvin and Wanda (Rhoades) Archer in Chicago, IL. She grew up in Northwest Missouri and was a graduate of Excelsior Springs High School. She married Raymond Max Rhoades on October 1st, 2007, in Durango, CO. Kathline worked at several hospitals in Missouri in medical administration. She opened the Wooden Candle in Gallatin in April 2019. Kathline loved Christ, family and community. She loved hosting big family gatherings with activities and food. Kathline was dedicated to her community, volunteering anytime and anywhere she could. She was active in Friends of Gallatin, Bright Futures, Chautauqua, Gallatin Vendor's Association, Main Street, The Well, the Business Women's Association and many other community organizations. She loved her grandchildren and attending their ballgames. She was a faithful member of Friends in Christ Church in Gallatin. Kathline was fun, off the wall and effervescent. Kathline will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Kathline was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Gayla Whitt; siblings, Frances Young, Judy Hedrick, Donna Eades, and Billy Archer. She is survived by her husband Ray of the home; children, Justin Almond (Becky) of Flemington, MO, Jerin Almond (Adeena) of Kansas City, MO, Larry Rhoades (Janet) of Gallatin, MO, and Allen Rhoades (Angel) of Winston, MO; grandchildren, Emma Almond, Paxton Almond, Nash Almond, Dustin Teel, Derrick Teel, Dannette Peterson (Todd), Dennelle Caldwell (Luke), Robert Rhoades (Nicole), Bradley Rhoades (Kasey), Austin Rhoades (Shelby), and Abby Rhoades (Bryson); eight great-grandchildren; foster mother, Jackie Thorn of Hamilton, MO; brothers, Jack Archer (Sue) of Hamilton, MO, Rick Archer (Angela) of Lathrop, MO, and Eddie Archer; nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Bright Futures Gallatin in care of the funeral home. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 AM Monday, February 24, 2025 at the Stith funeral home in Gallatin, Mo. A celebration of life service will immediately follow at 11:30am. Burial will be at a later date at the McCrary Cemetery, near Gallatin. Arrangements entrusted to the care and direction of Stith Funeral Home in Gallatin (660) 663-2117.
