Kathryn Ann Luthy, of Monroe, Michigan, entered eternal life on 3/26/2025 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Toledo, surrounded by loved ones.
Kathy was born on 7/22/1959 in Monroe, MI, the daughter of Shirley Strong Luthy and Willard Rudolph Luthy. She attended St. John Catholic School, Monroe High School, worked at CSDD of Monroe, attended St. Joseph Catholic Church, and lived at the Binkley Home in Monroe.
Kathy was born with Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome and from the very beginning, she defied the odds with her resilience and long life. To know Kathy was to see her very pure heart shine and her life was a gift to everyone around her. She will be remembered by many for her sweet nature, patient attitude, and for being a social butterfly. She loved her family and many friends, she enjoyed traveling, getting her nails done, eating tacos, playing bingo, making jewelry, dancing, participating in a bowling league, and doing crafts.
Preceding Kathy in death is her father, Willard; her mother, Shirley; her brother, Rudolph; and her brother-in-law, Wallace Ley. Remaining behind to cherish her memory are her sister, Barbara Luthy Ley, and her nieces, Georjean Marie Rossow and Ann Ley Rodgers, and their families.
Family and friends may visit on Monday, March 31, 2025, from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Rupp Funeral Home, 2345 S.
