Kathy Watson, 76, of Uniontown, Ohio, passed away on Friday, December 5, 2025 at Hospice House in Poland.
Kathy was born November 13, 1949 in McDonald, Ohio, a daughter to the late George and Katherine (Stevens) Rishel.
She was a McDonald High School graduate and later obtained a Bachelor’s Degree.
Kathy had worked for Akron University as Head of the Human Resources Department until her retirement.
She was a dog lover, especially to Scottish Terriers, owning many throughout her life and being a member of the Scotty Club.
She was an avid quilter, and formed many friendships pursuing this hobby.
Kathy and her late husband Curtis loved traveling. They especially loved traveling to their beach house on TopSail Island in North Carolina.
She leaves to cherish her memory her nieces, Renee and Donna; nephew, George; as well as her family and numerous friends. She will be especially missed by her best friend of 50 years, Sandi Burnett.
Along with her parents, Kathy is preceded in death by her brother, George Rishel; and beloved husband, Curtis Watson, who she married on December 1, 1967, and passed away May 7, 2025.
Per the family's wishes, there will be no services.
Kathy will be laid to rest at Girard City Cemetery with her husband.
