Kay Pearson Richardson, age 78, of Ball Ground passed away December 23, 2024.
Kay graduated from Southwest DeKalb High School in 1964 where she was the Co-Captain of the Rhythmettes Dance Team.
Kay was a former member of Orange Hill Baptist Church, First Baptist Church of Powder Springs, Canton First Baptist Church, and current member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Canton.
Kay was gifted with artistic talent. She enjoyed acrylic painting, sewing, and crafts. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren to whom she was lovingly known as Kay Kay.
Kay was preceded in death by her parents, Render and Rachel Pearson.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, James Richardson; son, Brad (Jennifer) Richardson of Cumming; son, Jeff (Tricia) Richardson of Ball Ground; brother, Gary (Joyce) Pearson of Newnan; sister, Patsy Bartlett of Sharpsburg; sister, Joette (Mike) Oxford of Woodbury.
Kay is also survived by grandchildren, Caroline, Will, Sarah, and Tommy as well as nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Funeral Services will be held Friday 2:00 PM at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Doug Mulkey officiating.
Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends for visitation prior to the service Friday from 11:00AM-1:30 PM at the church.
