Kayla Estrella Bowen

Kayla Estrella Bowen, 17, of Browns Mills, passed away unexpectedly, on Thursday, December 16, 2021.
She was born on April 12, 2004, in Hoboken, NJ Kayla grew up in Browns Mills, and was a senior at Pemberton Township High School. She was in the Medical Arts Program at the school, where she was an honorable and dedicated student. She was loved by everyone that met her. Kayla excelled in everything she put her mind to. She was an excellent and creative artist. She was also amazing at building and fixing almost anything. She trained in martial arts and was a natural. There wasn't anything that Kayla couldn't accomplish. She was beautiful inside and out, as she was a caring, thoughtful, compassionate, strong, intelligent, honorable, trustworthy, sassy, witty, funny and loving person.
Kayla is survived by her mother, Dinorah Jacome and her father David; her biological father, Alfonso Bowen; biological mother, Luz Castro; her sister, Kelsey Alvelo; her grandmother, Irma Ovalle; her grandfathers, Edwin Barbosa and Mauro Jacome; her uncles, Eddie Barbosa, Eric Jacome, her Aunt Jennifer Torres. her cousins, Justice, Giselle, Julius, Gabriel, Jayce, and Ian; and many other relatives and friends.
A viewing will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, on Thursday, December 23, 2021, at Moore Funeral Home, 371 Lakehurst Rd, Browns Mills, NJ 08015. A funeral service will be at 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Cremation will be private.
