Kayla Alexis Souto

Kayla Alexis Souto, 34, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 15, 2025, in Tampa, Florida. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home in Perry. Visitation will be from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m., followed by the Funeral at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in Perry Memorial Gardens immediately following the service. Flowers will be gratefully accepted or memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association, In Memory of Kayla Souto, 233 Peachtree St Suite 2225, Atlanta, GA 30303.
Kayla was born in Macon, Georgia, on January 13, 1991. She grew up in both Warner Robins, Georgia, where she attended Northside High School, and Plant City, Florida, where she attended Plant City High School. She was a huge Harry Potter fan and collected all of the memorabilia that she could find. Always fun-loving and spontaneous, Kayla loved every minute of life. She had a great sense of humor and enjoyed making others laugh. Through the years, she came to appreciate and cheer for Auburn football, and the friendly competition with her Dad and his support for the Georgia Bulldogs was always entertaining, especially when Auburn won. Spending time at the beach with her Mom soothed her soul, and she soaked in the rays whenever she could. Kayla was talented and wore many hats. She loved to decorate Christmas trees, decorating more and more trees and making them more elaborate and unique each year. Cooking was one of her favorite things to do, and her time in culinary school led her to try new recipes often. She was proud of her many accomplishments and would send pictures of her latest creations to family and friends. Singing was a way that Kayla would connect with people, and the music and lyrics often meant something special to her. Her family and friends remember how beautiful she was, and she loved "getting all dressed up." Kayla's beauty also shone from the inside through her many acts of kindness. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew her.
Kayla was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Gracie Souto.
Left to cherish the memories they made with Kayla are her parents, Buddy and Tina Adams Souto of Fort Valley, Georgia, and Tyminda and Brian Stanley of Plant City, Florida; her siblings, Brittany Souto of Fort Valley, Georgia, and Andrea Garrett (Doug) and Bryce Stanley, both of Plant City, Florida; her nieces and nephews, of whom she adored and was so proud, Mackenzie Garrett, Jaden Souto, Jackson Souto, and River Owens; her paternal grandfathers, Jack Souto, Sr, and Rudy Adams (Dee); her maternal grandfather, Roy Duvall; her maternal grandmothers, Billie Sue Robinson and Ellen Long; and her faithful and devoted dog, Teddy Weathers.
