Keaghan Mathew Monaghan

Keaghan Matthew Monaghan, age 23, of Jacksonville, passed away on January 5, 2024 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. Keaghan was born on August 11, 2000 in Boynton Beach, FL to parents Paul and Allison Monaghan. He grew up in Lake Worth, Florida and moved to Jacksonville as a teenager, graduating from Nease High School with the Class of 2019. Keaghan was very creative and was passionate about everything he did in life. After working for Home Depot out of his high school years, Keaghan took a special interest in photography. He was self taught and became a highly skilled photographer, leveraging the skill to enjoy all the things he was passionate about. Cars and car shows, motorcycles, skateboarding were all documented with his skill and creativity. If he wasn't participating he was taking pictures. Keaghan loved people. He had a bubbly, goofy personality and was the "happiest person ever". His energy was contagious. He made friends easily and was loved by everyone. Most recently Keaghan was working as a mechanic at Hodges Mazda, a job that he loved. The recent birth of his daughter, Hayden Rae, had a profound effect on Keaghan's life. The connection between them was magical. They both lit up in the presence of one another. More than anything, Keaghan loved his fiance' Morgan and his family and enjoyed spending time with them.Though his life was short he lived it fully. He will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his fiance' Morgan McLevy and their daughter, Hayden Rae, his parents, Paul and Allison Monaghan of St. Augustine, FL.; sister, Meghan Besore and her husband Stephen of St. Johns; brothers, Ryan Monaghan and his wife Jennifer of Boca Raton, FL., Joseph Rodriguez of West Palm Beach, FL., and Patrick Monaghan of St. Augustine.
A visitation will be held from 5 to 8 pm on Friday, January 12, 2024 at St. Johns Family Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at St. Johns Family Funeral Home.
