Keith Allen Bowen
Barre, VT
Keith Allen Bowen of Barre, VT, passed away at his home on June 3, 2025. He met his beloved dogs Queenie and Kizzy in heaven, whom he missed so very much.
Keith was born on March 18, 1951, in Barre, VT, to his loving parents, Myron A. Bowen and Katherine Morrison. Keith grew up and lived in East Calais, VT, for many years with his family.
Keith attended Vermont Technical College and graduated in 1971 as an Electronic Technician. He joined the United States Navy in 1976, where he was active duty until 1980 and then went into the Naval Reserves. Keith continued his educational endeavors while in the Navy, receiving extensive training in many areas, including AESD-SPS-40B, long-range air search radar systems used by the United States Navy. Keith also earned the Battle E Ribbon and Good Conduct Medals while in the Navy. Keith held the position of Electronic Technician from 1980 until his retirement in 2008. Keith had a vast understanding of radar, ion implant systems, and MRI.
Keith had many interests and hobbies, first and foremost, his love and compassion for his beloved Beagles Queenie and Kizzy. Keith enjoyed rock and roll from the 50s and 60s including Elvis Presley and Led Zeppelin.
Sadly, as Keith aged, his entire family passed away, and he was preceded in death by his parents, Myron and Katherine. His siblings Gene Bowen, Patsy Lamberton, Myron John Bowen, and Donald Bowen.
He made genuine connections with the kind staff of CVHHH.
Keith will be buried at the Fairview Cemetery in Calais, VT, next to his mother, father, siblings, and beloved pets that passed before him.
Arrangements are in the care of Guare and Sons Funeral Home of 30 School Street, Montpelier, VT. Those wishing to express online condolences may do so at www.guareandsons.com.
