Keith David Romero, 43, of Bryant, was called to be with the LORD on May 13, 2023 at Baptist Health Hospital, where he was surrounded by his parents and a group of close friends who Keith and his Parents considered part of their FAMILY (Dave, Carl, Nikki and Gail; Tanya & The Johnson’s in Prayers), Keith was born on September 12, 1979 to David and Felice Romero in Tucumcari, New Mexico.

He is preceded in death by his maternal Grandparents, Fidel and Lorinda Chaves (New Mexico); his paternal Grandparents, Toni and Celina Romero (New Mexico); and his cousins, Kristin Chavez (New Mexico).

Keith graduated from the Durango High School in Durango, CO., and he moved his family to Arkansas where he completed his Bachelor's Degree at the UALR.

He is survived by his daughters, Madison & Teya (Arkansas); Family: Mary & Len Cahill (Florida), Gloria Cook (North Carolina), Patrick Romero (Missouri), Elaine Pacheco (New Mexico), Steven Romero (New Mexico), Danny & Charlotte Romero (New Mexico), Marcella & Richard Serge (Florida) and Joe Romero (Alabama); close friends, Dave & Debo Johnson (Benton), Carl Bird (Little Rock), Nikki & Family (Benton), Gail Pritchard (Little Rock), Tanya Files (Chris deceased) (Benton), Rick Sr & Jr. & Melissa Johnson (Bryant); family, Pete Gomez, Frank Chavez, Judy Ramon, Lourdes Chavez, Berna Barella, Valerie Diaz (all of New Mexico), and lots of cousins.

Keith celebrated his life with much sadness and joy. He loved his daughters Madison & Teya, loved to hang out with his parents which was unique, enjoyed camping/fishing/ boating/hunting and anything outdoors, enjoyed scary movies and the haunting houses with friends, had a knack of selecting nicknames to all his friends and could communicate to anyone in a way that made him and others connect. He was committed to his family and friends and he loved all of them very much. If there was a word or two that made Keith special it would be A GOOD HEART!

Arrangements are entrusted to Smith-Benton Funeral Home.

Memorial service held at 10:30 AM, Friday,  May 26, at Our Lady of The Holy Souls Catholic Church, 1003 N. Tyler Street, Little Rock, Arkansas 72205.  A Celebration of Keith’s Life will follow from 12:30 - 2:30 PM at Hurricane Lake Pavilion, 6015 Worth Avenue E, Benton, Arkansas 72019.

As life is filled with joy and sadness, we hold on to good memories when our kids were close. They grew apart in older days, but family is family so we feel your sadness having to say goodbye to Keith too soon. As parents we love are kids like no other. Praying God will comfort and hold you both now and in the coming days Ohana
